Is EZGB only for Green Button data?
No. Green Button is one source. EZGB also collects through authorized utility connections and digitizes PDF or scanned bills with BillScan.
Can EZGB read PDF or scanned bills?
Yes. BillScan converts available electricity, gas, water, and steam bill information into structured records, including consumption, demand, rate class, charges, adjustments and totals.
What kinds of data can I receive?
Depending on your utility and account, EZGB can collect billing details and meter usage, including available interval readings (5-minute, 15-minute and hourly for electricity; monthly for natural gas).
How do I receive the data?
Review it in the portal or receive standardized records via REST API, SFTP, JSON, or CSV.
How often is data updated?
Ongoing utility retrieval is typically scheduled daily. Actual availability depends on when the utility publishes new data.
How much historical data is available?
EZGB typically provides up to two years of available billing and meter history, subject to the utility and account.
What if my utility is not listed?
Ask us about your provider. BillScan may be able to digitize its PDF or scanned bills even when a direct feed is unavailable.
